iPhone / iPad Email Setup Tutorial

Before you can configure email software to send and receive emails from our servers, you must

  1. Purchase a hosting subscription service.
  2. Create an email account within your cPanel account.

Once you have done this, you may configure your email software to connect to the email account you created on our servers.

Note: As a courtesy to our customers, we provide online tutorials on how to configure various email software. Our staff however are not able to provide support on how to use your iPhone or iPad. For further assistance in using Mail on your iPhone or iPad, see Apple's Mail support pages.

Setup an email account on the iPhone/iPad website tutorial

From the home screen of your iPhone/iPad, press the Settings Icon

Select Mail, Contacts, Calendars

Under the Accounts section select Add Account

On the Add Account page select Other

Under the Mail section, select Add Mail Account

On the New Account screen, complete the following details:

Your Name: The name to be displayed when sending email
Address: Your email address, e.g. johnsmith@example.com
Password: The password used for this email account (that you set up in the Control Panel)
Description : Any text description, eg Example Email

Press [Next]

Make sure the IMAP option is selected.

Scroll down the screen and complete the corresponding information.

Incoming Mail Server

Host Name: alpha.jkb.com.au
Username: Your FULL email address, eg. johnsmith@example.com
Password: The password to your email address

Outgoing Mail Server

Host Name: alpha.jkb.com.au
Username: Your FULL email address, eg. johnsmith@example.com
Password: The password to your email address.

Press [Next].

Your device will now attempt to verify all the settings you’ve entered. You’ll need to wait for it to do this.

When the IMAP settings page shows, make sure the Mail option is selected (it should already by on by default).

Press [Save]

Now that the account is added, we just need to make a couple of extra changes, to ensure outgoing mail works correctly.

Tap on the new account in the Accounts List.

Tap on the Account field.

Scroll down the screen, until you see the Outgoing Mail Server section, and tap on the SMTP alpha.jkb.com.au field.

Tap on the Primary Server alpha.jkb.com.au field.

Tap the Use SSL button to turn it on.

Change the Server Port number to 465.

Press [Done]

It will again show Verifying... This can take a few minutes, so be patient!

If all is successful, you will be taken back to your Accounts list.
